News of the Day

Dear God, there is too much news today.

First and probably most importantly, there's a stress test tomorrow, from 3-7 EST.  Just so you know, there's a massive patch to download since the last stress test, so you might want to get on that.

Second, there was an amazing video (and no it's not the one every Guild Wars 2 site in the world showed today).  It actually comes from a German MMO site, called Buffed.  Click here to visit the site.  The video features the Fields of Desolation, a mid level zone that shows off...wait for it.....Ebonhawke.  Yeah, for lore fans, there's even the grave of Gwen you can visit, and you can even gain a skill point by paying your respects.  The zone also contains part of the Dragonbrand, a corrupted trail that was left by the flight path of one of the Elder Dragons, Kralkatorrik.  If Google Translate can be trusted, there's also some ogres and seperatists causing some mischief as well.

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with the gate of Ebonhawke, especially after seeing the awesome concept art for the doors (pictured above).  I mean seriously, just compare the two...Yeah one is definitely more epic than the other, but I'll leave you to decide.

Finally, my last thing to show you is the video everyone has been talking about. Felicia Day's unveiling of the Collector's Edition of Guild Wars 2.  For those who do not know, Felicia is the voice actor for the Asura Zojja, the tiniest member of Destiny's Edge, and who plays a major role in every Asura's personal story.  I wasn't sure why every fan site in the world was showing off her video...until I watched it.  Yes, it's awkward, unexpected, but entirely hilarious throughout.

  1. Gwen's grave...wow. And I thought Jora's monument was sad. I knew Gwen since she was a little girl. Even played her in a bonus mission pack.
