If you are anything like me, you probably have a heavy case of Guild Wars 2 Withdrawl Syndrome. It's a real thing, I swear. Luckily there's a four hour stress test coming on June 27th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. PDT.
Bad news, yeah, that is completely in the middle of the working day for most of us in America. I'm insanely jealous of you Europeans right now, prime-time, le sigh. You get a lower age alcohol restriction, Italy, the Louvre, and Churchill. And now you get Guild Wars 2. Life is indeed unfair.
For those who are lucky enough to play, you will be able to keep your old characters. As usual with stress tests, you may see some more performance issues than in Beta Weekends, but have no fear, these events will help all of us in the long run.
Oddly enough, I live in the US and it's a great time for me. My husband and I work night shift, and work on the weekends, so many special events are difficult for us to participate in (especially beta weekends). I think it's good that they shift times around for different events, though I do wonder if they'll have enough of a response at this time to adequately stress their servers.
ReplyDeleteMy guess is that this is to test the European servers during primetime. However, I have next to no idea how they chose the time, but I'm pretty sure they had their reasons.
